The 1981 GPz750, listed here as the Z 750GP, was a performance sport version of Kawasaki's 750 four rather than a simple restyle of the KZ750. Changes included a higher compression ratio, revised camshafts, larger carburettors, a reworked combustion chamber, piston oil cooling, tapered steering-head bearings, clip-on handlebars and a bikini fairing. The page also covers the 1983 revision, which brought a new frame and Uni-Trak rear suspension.
